Anthony Black — Orlando Magic — A permanent record: this Museum Artifact ID stays with this piece for good, independent of which gallery it's currently displayed in.
A rookie card that plays on his own name, signed on camera in the tunnel — no interpretation required.
Anthony Black was our first-round pick the first season we held season tickets, so he's always had a soft spot in this family's heart. Since then, he's been unbelievably generous with his time in the tunnel — quick with a smile, quick to stop, quick to make a fan's night. He became a favorite around here fast, and he's only gotten more exciting to watch since. If you're building a collection with an eye on where a player's career is headed, he's one to keep in mind.
This Fade to Black Pink Ice rookie is numbered 2 of just 25 ever made — and the design does something we love: it plays on his own name, Anthony Black fading to black. Caeden handed it to him directly, and the video shows the whole thing start to finish: the card, the pen, the signature landing in real time. No gap to fill in, no benefit of the doubt required.
Rookie cards like this one don't come back around often at a print run of 25 — this is a real chance to own one of the few that exist.
It's the first piece we're bringing forward under true provenance, with the Cherry Blossom close behind it under Presence.
